Lowell Park Shelter, 2201 Michigan Av.

WHAT IS FREEZIN' FOR HUNGER?
"Freezin for Hunger" began in 2006 by a local police officer, Tim Probst, to raise awareness of the issue of hunger and homelessness in our community. Tim camped out in front of the YMCA on a very cold winter night. People came by throughout the night with their donations (monetary, food and other items). The proceeds assisted with the Food Pantry of Waukesha County's goal to provide food to approximately 5,000 Waukesha County residents each month.

Tim raised $1,000 and one ton (approximately 2,000 lbs) of food in 2006. Last year $6,000 and over two+ tons of food were raised. Our goal this year is to again have 20+ campers, raise $12,000 and four+ tons in food. Please help us reach our goal once again!
